Adam and Colin, braving the “blizzard”, had a Tuesday Tundra Tussle on Garipay. The weather forecasts had made prophecies of at least 5 inches of snow, but the Antarctic-like wind smacking us around left very little. Luckily the insight of the groomer was to get out and beat the wind, so we had soft snow underfoot as long as we stuck on the barely-discernible track. Adam was out for his usual afternoon ski (after what sounded like a scrumptious lunch of Broccoli & Cheddar Soup with Maple Corn Bread) and I myself was getting a feel for my classic skis in preparation for my classic race at Oak Hill on Wednesday. It’s the first time in my life I will get to race on my home course…wow!
Adam and I survived with some wild hat hair and beard hair, as you can see.
