To the Green Woodlands we went!  Indeed, it was only one less than the entirety of the JNT Racing Team (Sara was seeing her sister off to Italy) and many of the parents who showed up.  As the dust settled on yet another year of the exciting back-country kerfuffle that is the Bogburn, our little posse of Nordic fanatics headed out into the cold, harsh hinterland armed with Swix Green and hot tea.  For our OD, we did the works!  Out around Mudget’s Pond Loop and the Smarts Mountain Loop before heading back.  Conditions are a fantastic relief.  We spent our time on the ups and downs looking to get the most out of our kick by directing striding forward and not bouncing upwards on hills with our technique (switching my skis around half way through was a solid life choice).  On the flats back, we worked on our double poling and syncing core power with arms.  2 1/2 hours later, we returned to the smiles of the JNT parents out on their skis.  A pretty solid day at -15°C, if you ask me.
