I’ve managed to get a three day streak of skiing in over the past few days. On Saturday my family headed up to Middlebury. Thanks to their snowmaking system (we should get one for Oak Hill), they had 3km of trails in nice conditions. Although the snow got icy in the afternoon, I got to ski for 4 hours. Most of that was double poling. On Sunday I joined the team in Craftsbury for skate and classic skiing. I got to have fun demoing Fischer Speedmax and Madhus Redline skis, both of which were speedy. Today I found enough snow to ski in Hanover. The Hanover High School’s AstroTurf field is actually quite nice to ski on with a bit of snow on it. I skated for an hour with some no pole work and covered the entire field with tracks. I’m really hoping for a lot more local snow though.
