After a nervous chatter between Chris and I about skiing, our skis found themselves in the back of the Powell F-150, bound for the Trapp Family Lodge ski trails. It was a chilly day and while CH6 glide wax was the ticket to success, the blue kick wax may have been a bit icier than we’d anticipated. Rick Powell went off with his gang of friends and hammered out a solid ski on the 7.3 K race loop. Chris and I slipped and slid a little, but got out and found that there were plenty of quiet, well-covered trails to ski out on. It was a Classic day for the two of us, though I recommend anyone in the near future bring skate, and by the looks of it, Stowe had been dumped with a solid 5 inches of A-/B+ snow and we did loops on the Telemark and Race loops. Just another day in the life of JNT.
